Monika

Born and raised a Virgo in Chicago for a majority of her life.   She spent a few years living in Wisconsin, so I guess she's also part cheese head; but just don't tell it to her face otherwise, you're in for a tussle (see the above pic).  And guess who got their ass kicked in the above Gladiator type competition.  That's right, Glenn did, and don't you forget it.  Huurah!

Spending her college years at the University of Illinois at Chicago; she dabbled in Industrial clubs, yacht racing, beach volleyball, catering, and a multitude of things here and there.   She's spent most of her working career in the scientific field mainly as a Chemist.

Glenn

An Aquarian born and raised in Chicago who enjoys the outdoors, taking photographs, and has an obsession to be the ultimate carver on the ski slopes.  Hey, there's something to be said about the feeling you get when you (purposely) get almost 180 degree leaning angles on linked turns down the ski slope with a smile a mile wide.  **What a Tommy Moe wanna-be! **

I also did 5 years time at UIC and made some of the best and closest friends I've ever had.  Who ever said you can't make close friends when you're mudding (ie: Multi-User Dungeon; sort of like online Dungeons & Dragons but all text-based) - Go RoundTable!!!!!

How We Met

Back in 1991 on a UIC Biology Colloquium trip the University of Minnesota Lake Itasca Biology Field Station which is the head waters of the Mississippi.  A bunch of us were sitting on a natural dam when suddenly this girl screamed, leech had decided to attach itself to her foot.  I was sitting right next to her and saw her situation; and then proceeded to take the leech of her foot.  Funny thing is that I have a picture of the group of us sitting on the dam just before Monika let out her barbaric yawlp.  **He's my hero**  Fate is sorta strange that way I guess.

We didn't really become friends until a couple of years later and we didn't even start dating until a couple more years after that; so basically we have a ton of dirt on the other.  And, on October 14, 2000; we got tired of blackmailing each other, and decided that we should get married.
